According to the work arrangement of the National Technical Committee for Wheel and Belt Standardization, four national standard drafting working group meetings were held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province from March 26 to 29, 2019, including "Belt Transmission Terminology Part 1: Basic Terminology of Belt Transmission", "Belt Transmission Terminology Part 2: V-Belt and Multi Wedge Belt", "Belt Transmission Terminology Part 3: Synchronous Belt", and "Material, Surface Roughness, and Balance of Pulleys".

20 representatives from 13 units across the country participated in the standard drafting work conference.  Participants in the meeting included China Machinery Productivity Promotion Center, Qingdao Institute of Product Quality Supervision and Inspection, Jiangsu Zhongsheng Transmission Technology Co., Ltd., Wuxi Belte Tape Co., Ltd., Wuxi Zhonghui Rubber Technology Co., Ltd., Wuxi the Taihu Lake Synchronous Belt Wheel Factory, Ningbo Fulong Synchronous Belt Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Sanxing Tape Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Kaiou Transmission Belt Co., Ltd., Ningbo Kaichi Tape Co., Ltd., Ningbo Fengmao Far East Rubber Co., Ltd., Weishi Jiulong Rubber and Plastic Co., Ltd., and Sichuan De'en Precision Technology Co., Ltd.

The meeting was chaired by Zhou Yujie from the China Machinery Industry Productivity Promotion Center.

Wu Yizhen from the National Technical Committee for Wheel and Belt Standardization delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of formulating standards and their role in the belt drive industry.

The attending representatives jointly reviewed the "Belt Transmission Terminology Part 1: Basic Terminology of Belt Transmission" and re examined and reviewed the content of the existing national standards for belt transmission terminology.

The attending representatives jointly reviewed the "Terminology of Belt Transmission Part 2: V-Belt and Multi Wedge Belt", among which Zhejiang Kaiou Transmission Belt Co., Ltd., Weishi County Jiulong Rubber and Plastic Co., Ltd. and other units focused on discussing various issues of V-belt and multi wedge belt in the transmission process for in-depth exploration.

The attending representatives jointly reviewed the "Terminology of Belt Transmission Part 3: Synchronous Belt", which focused on the specific standard description of various tooth shapes of synchronous belts, as well as the description of various belt transmission modes of synchronous belt transmission. Among them, Wuxi Belt Tape Co., Ltd., Ningbo Fulong Synchronous Belt Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Zhongsheng Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. and other units conducted in-depth discussions on the various descriptions and terminology contents of national standards for synchronous belts based on their long-term industry experience in the synchronous belt field.

The attending representatives jointly reviewed the material, surface roughness, and balance of pulleys.  For the basic terminology, it is discussed in conjunction with foreign standard literature, among which Sichuan De'en Precision Technology Co., Ltd. has made important statements on its long-term industry experience in its professional field.

The attending representatives discussed and revised the four national/industry standard drafts, carefully and meticulously discussing them chapter by chapter, paragraph by paragraph, sentence by sentence, and even word by word. They put forward many modification suggestions and added some new clauses and content.  After the meeting, the original standard draft will be revised and organized based on the opinions of the conference representatives, and then provided to the conference representatives, members of the standard drafting working group, as well as well-known enterprises and experts in the industry for further discussion and revision.

Standards are an important means of regulating the belt drive industry.  The participation of well-known domestic leading enterprises in the drafting and discussion of national/industry standards for belt drives once again confirms that first-class enterprises set standards, second-class enterprises create brands, third class enterprises sell products, and fourth class enterprises are busy manufacturing!  Participating in the formulation of standards is not only participating in the formulation of game rules, but also a manifestation and symbol of the confidence and strength of the enterprise!
